Partners In Education
IT IS TRULY EVIDENT THAT PARENTS AND VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT ONLY WELCOMED, BUT ALSO EMBRACED AS EDUCATIONAL PARTNERS AND SEEN AS INVALUABLE RESOURCES TO THE STUDENTS OF HENRY P. BECTON REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL.
Partners In Education (PIE) is a group of parents, administrators, teachers, staff, and community members working to help the students of the Henry P. Becton Regional High School. PIE provides support to a variety of programs during the school year.
We work to promote parent and community involvement in education. PIE is proud to oversee the Becton School Store which offers students school supplies, Becton apparel, and snacks after school. All profits go to the graduating students. Through funds raised at the store, PIE helps offset the costs of various events including Project Graduation and Debate Team and offers scholarships to our high school seniors. We always welcome donations for the school store such as cases of water, Gatorade, juice, soda, chips/popcorn, candy bars & granola bars which are in high demand after school. We also encourage PIE members to volunteer at our store.
We encourage you to join our organization and attend our meetings! Our organization is a valuable resource for information relevant to the students, plus a chance to network with other members. Becton’s PIE (Partners in Education) is looking for interested parents, teachers, and community members to help each year. Research has shown that academic achievement among students is higher in schools with active parent and teacher involvement so we would like you to be a part of PIE!
Membership dues are only $6.00 per family and per teacher/staff, and our goal is always to reach 100% participation. Please make checks payable to Becton PIE or PayPal - PIE@Bectonhs.org. Volunteers are needed to help run the school store from 2:15-3:00 pm daily. Anyone wishing to join PIE can request an application by emailing PIE@bectonhs.org . We encourage every parent to participate.
All meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month in the Becton Regional High School Media Center at 6:30 PM. Please join us!
