Visual & Performing Arts

The goal of the Visual & Performing Arts Department is to offer all students the opportunity to explore their interests and creativity in the visual arts.  Our mission is to help foster confidence and engage each student in problem-solving in art through hands-on creation. In our courses, students will become culturally aware of art by learning about its purposes throughout history and by exploring current applications of digital technology. We want students to become aware of the many roles that the visual arts play in our global society and communities and its possibility as a career path.  We believe all of our art students can succeed through effort and personal expression.

In the words of Albert Einstein, "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution."
