1. The Carlstadt- East Rutherford Board of Education will continue to revise and update THE ROAD BACK TO BECTON plan as determined by changing circumstances with the COVID-19 pandemic in order to provide students and staff with a safe and healthy school environment.
2. The Carlstadt- East Rutherford Board of Education will use current budget resources and apply for additional technology grants in order to invest in technology infrastructure, personnel, and resources to assist our school community with the historic shift to Hybrid & Virtual Teaching and Learning.
3. The Carlstadt-East Rutherford Regional Board of Education will work closely with the administration to effectively staff the school district with new, diverse, and highly qualified personnel in order to properly run the district due to the historic merger with Maywood Public Schools and the influx of students this school year and the next three years moving forward.
4. The Carlstadt-East Rutherford Regional Board of Education will begin preliminary plans for a multi-classroom/career lab expansion that will satisfy new social distancing requirements, the influx of students from Maywood, and the varying career and technology-focused programs, including trades, that will benefit students from Carlstadt, East Rutherford, and Maywood.
5. The Carlstadt- East Rutherford Board of Education will continue the progress made with the Wellness Center by expanding the curriculum and program, as well as hire a District SEL Coordinator and Mental Health expert, to oversee and meet the individualized and specialized social-emotional needs of all students.
